Mauro Pedraza Valverde (Owner/manager)
Mauro was born in Curahuasi Apurimac, a small town with only 2000 inhabitants; after finish the high school Mauro move to Cusco to follow studies in tourism and then worked as a porter for a while, later Mauro became a successful tour Gide and worked for many tour companies, Mauro has travelled widely in Peru and Europe. He has been organising treks since 1998 and working in the travel industry since 1990. He is one of nine brothers and sisters.
Henry Chauca (Inca Trail permits)
Henry was born in Cusco, was also a porter on the Inca Trail before starting a 4-year course in Tourism. He helps Nancy out in the office and organises the purchase of the Inca Trail permits. Henry finish his course in tourism, he have worked as a Guide for 2 years.
Nancy Cusicuna (Reservations Manager)
Nancy is in charge of the reservations which mean that she is responsible for answering all of your emails
OUR PORTERS & COOKS:
Sunrise Peru Trek has more than 150 porters from: Lares, Amparaes, Pumapunku, Yanahuara, Paru Paru, Chincheros, Mollapata; Hard workers and honest guys; the porters were exceptionally hard working and always kind and helpful, They carry 20 kilos on their backs and running from camp to camp.
Our cooks are professional and prepare delicious and abundant Buffet style meals, Peruvian and international Cuisine are prepared by our professional and dedicated cooks from a mixture of local and exotic products. We also cater for vegetarians and special diets.
