The Inti Raymi & Machu Picchu Tour includes short and easy walks to the Inca ruins of Pisaq, Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu. Clients carry a day pack only and walk at an easy pace. Enjoy walking with fresh natural air through the Inca settlements. At Machu Picchu you’ll enjoy a free time for further exploration or optionally you can climb the Huaynapicchu Mountain.

The Inti Raymi, also known as the ‘Festival of the Sun’, is one such festival that is celebrated with great fervor; it is an exuberant festival where people put on bright colors of trappings, dance and enjoy mouthwatering sweets. The Inti Raymi is a week-long festival celebrated in majestic style in the city of Cusco, is one of the most popular events of the Incas, signifying the victory of good over natural disasters.  It draws the travelers from distant parts of the globe.


Day 1: Arrival to Cusco

Arrival to Cusco at any time; today there is not planet activity. However, we must know your flight details. If you arrive in the morning so, in the afternoon, optionally you can do city tour from 01:30 p.m to 06:00 p.m.

Day 2: Inti Raymi

Experience a wonderful ceremony in honour to the Sun and Mother Nature. Include a lunchbox.

Day 3: Sacred Valley of the Incas

It’s a wonderful day tour through green and fertile valley; visiting Inca ruins of Pisac and Ollantaytambo where you will learn Inca history. In the afternoon, you’ll travel two hours by train to the picturesque town of “Aguas Calientes”.

Day 4:  Machu Picchu Trip

Very early, we’ll take a bus for 25 minutes up to Machu Picchu and see the sunrise then explore the entire site with our best guide and in the afternoon, we’ll return to Cusco arriving there in the evening.

We’ll leave Cusco at any time. We will transfer you to the airport or bus station. It depends on your itinerary.

The tour starts in the city of Cusco located at one hour flight from Lima the capital from where there are daily flights. During the tour we’ll visit the sacred valley of the Incas and the splendid Machu Picchu. Discover the secrets of Cusco and the traditions of the Inca world, visiting the city of Cusco, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the wonderful Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. The Inti Raymi or Sun Feast is represented on the stage of Sacsayhuaman esplanade starting with small ceremonies held in the courtyard of Qorikancha or the Temple of the Sun, and then continue to the Main Square of Cusco; every year special stands are built for the visitors from where you can observe the ceremony; it’s estimated that for this day, we’ll arrive to Cusco with approximately 90,000 people.

Inti Raymi or the Festival of the Sun was a very important religious ceremony during the Inca Empire in honor to the Sun or Inti; in Quechua, Inti Raymi means “resurrection of the sun” or “the path of the sun”. The Incas turned to Inti, who was also known as the Giver of Life, in gratitude for his life-giving powers. The festival, which is often simply called Raymi, also is a celebration of the end of winter.

Day 1
Arrival to Cusco

The Inti Raymi & Machu Picchu Tour begins when you arrive to Cusco at any time. However, we must know your flight details; our office staff will wait for you in the airport and transfer you to the hotel; today there is not planned activity so enjoy the city; you can do optionally our city tour program and enjoy the enchanting sites of this colonial town; in the city tour, you will visit: the Cathedral located in the Main Square, the Qorikancha or Temple of the Sun of the Incas, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo and Tambomachay.

Day 2
Inti Raymi

The Inti Raymi tour begins at 08:30 a.m once we pick you up from the hotel and walk 10 minutes to Qorikancha escorted by an experienced guide. Qorikancha was the main Temple of the Sun in the time of the Incas; Qorikancha means Shining Gold because this temple was fully cover with gold, there was many idols of animals like: Llamas, Alpacas, Vicuñas, condors, etc also human idols all of them at the same size than normal life.

In Qorikancha starts the Inti Raymi feast in honour to the Sun; begins with amazing leather drums, pututus (seashells) and flutes music. Here, the first ritual and the speech of the Sapa Inca will star honoring the Sun and Mother Nature. From Qorikancha, the Sapa Inca is carried on litter accompanied by the priest priestesses, parents and noble Incas toward the famous Huaccaypata, Cusco’s actual main Square.

The Sapa Inca and his real priestesses and guards enter by the street of Intikijllu, the celabration in the main square last for approx. 1 hour. Then, the group with is transferred on private tourist bus to Sacsayhuaman Esplanade where the ceremony reaches to the maximum elegancy. At Sacsayhuaman the ceremony start at 01:30 p.m and ends at 03:00 p.m; here the Sapa Inca will give a speech in the ancestral Inca’s language, Quechu. Rituals and offering of chicha, a corn beer and a ceremony of the new fire celebrated by the Inca priest, afterward an Inca priest will predict the future of the Inca word or Tahuantinsuyo people; after that dancers from all over Peru continue the celebration and we will return to Cusco.

Day 3
Sacred Valley of The Incas

The Sacred Valley Tour begins at 08:30 a.m once we pick you up from the hotel and take our tourist bus. The tour leads through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. An important cradle of food for the Inca, the Sacred Valley is a lush of agricultural area that continues to supply the city of Cusco with much of its production, specially corn and vegetables.

We’ll visit the impressive Pisac ruins and the colourful artisan market where you can purchase handcrafts directly from producers. Then, we’ll continue toward picturesque village of Ollantaytambo site of another large Inca ruins. Ollantaytambo is the major Inca ruin known as the best surviving example of Inca urban planning and engineering. It is admired for its huge steep terraces guarding the Inca Fortress and for being one of the few places where the Spaniards lost a major battle during the conquest. After the tour in ollantaytambo, we’ll take the tourist train for two hours to the picturesque town of Aguas Calientes. Accommodation in the hotel.

Pisac Ruins Guided Tour (Pisac -1h)

Tour the fascinating hilltop citadel of Pisac, an Incan ruin with plunging gorges, a ceremonial center, and winding agriculture terracing that’s still in use today. Be captivated by this truly amazing site sitting amid sweeping green valleys and mountain peaks. Explore the back of the site to see a pocketed cliff across “Ch’itamayo” Gorge, which once contained hundreds of Inca tombs.

Ollantaytambo Ruins Guided Tour (Ollantaytambo1h)

Tour the town and fortress of Ollantaytambo with a local Guide. Take a step back in time at this Inca archaeological site; it still shows signs of its former glory, including agricultural terraces, a Temple Hill, and storehouses. Learn how the area, overlooking the Urubamba River Valley, was an important stronghold during warfare between the Spanish and Incas.

Day 4
Machu Picchu Trip

After breakfast, we’ll take a bus for 25 minutes up to Machu Picchu and visit with our best guide. The tour within Machu Picchu will be for two hours approximately after which you will have extra time to explore by yourself. After you finish, you must take the bus down to “Aguas Calientes” where you can have your lunch before head to the train station and return to Cusco.

Machu Picchu Guided Tour ( Machu Picchu2 -3 hours)

Rise and shine – the best time to see the Lost City of the Incas is in the early morning light. Follow the local guide to Machu Picchu to learn about its history at a leisurely pace. Gain local insight into the Inti Mach’ay cave, Inti Watana, the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Water, the Temple of the Condor, and the Room of the Three Windows. Take time to sit and feel the energy of this 15th-century site, now both a UNESCO World Heritage site and voted one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.

From April to November is the best trekking season for the trekking and mountaineering in Salkantay.  Weather is mostly clear and temperature is moderate which offers beautiful views without any obstruction.


Trekking in Salkantay does not require past experience, though we have challenging route in Cusco compared to Salkantay our itinerary suggests walking comfortable distances. Trekking in Salkantay always takes us to challenging altitudes and rocky routes, demands proper rest time and acclimatization to sustain their strength. We always have both listed properly in our itinerary. However certain training like Running, Skipping and other workout will definitely help you in roots.
